This week was an eye opener for me.
My assistant Adam and I took the last three days to personally deliver financial gifts to support the work of local ministries and to see the wonderful things they are accomplishing.
Art Erickson of Urban Ventures is reshaping the Powderhorn community turning a generation of cocaine kids into tomorrow’s leaders.
The Minneapolis Salvation Army is really rescuing young men from alcohol and drugs.
Peg Benicke and the staff at Robbinsdale Women’s Center saved 1500 babies from being aborted. (See below)
Shelli uses her horse ranch to rehab handicapped kids and Iraq war veterans.
Brooklyn Park Treehouse offers rejected teenagers warm and unconditional love.
Every ministry we engaged this week was genuinely blessed and encouraged by our partnership with them. There were tears of joy and cheers of gratitude.

Thanks to the generosity of our Living Word congregation the vision that God has placed in their hearts to be an example of God’s love can continue.
Too often I get immersed in the demands of ministry and forget about all the wonderful work going on in our communities. It won’t ever happen again!
